-Pablo Picasso
The grant money will be spent on creating after-school classes focused on digital art. The classes will focus on digital photography basics as well as digital input techniques. They will produce mixed media art from their explorations of art and digital media techniques. The sessions will culminate in community art events that allow students to showcase their work and bring the community together to appreciate what our students are capable of.
It will provide materials such as computers, digital cameras, printers, scanners, input tablets, green screen equipment, memory cards, and software.
It will provide for teachers to teach the after-school classes and summer session.
The classes will be available at all of the elementary school campuses in our school district. There will be six sessions during the school year and one summer session at each of our three elementary schools. Each of the sessions will end with a community art show that will allow the students to show off their work and let the community see what amazing things our students are capable of.
